Deidra Love is the Social Emotional Academic Development (SEAD) Facilitator of Professional Learning for Hamilton County Schools, where she trains educators across 72 schools in trauma-informed teaching and social-emotional development. With a master’s degree in early childhood special education from UTC and 28 years of experience as a teacher, interventionist, behavior specialist, program coordinator, and trainer, Deidra has supported children and families from preschool through high school in both Texas and Tennessee.
Her background includes 18 years in early intervention, helping families and early childhood teachers build emotional regulation skills with autistic children and children with developmental delays or disabilities, as well as leading workshops nationwide on connection-based, trauma-informed practices. She is also a TBRI practitioner and spent seven years coaching families of neurodivergent children or children who have experienced early adversity.
Deidra and her husband, Mark, are parents of four—including an adopted daughter—and live in Chattanooga, where her work continues to reflect her core belief: that trust, connection, and compassionate understanding can help every child flourish.
